Hey Mom Friends (or Dads):
The other day, my sister-in-law texted me photos of her costumes-in-progress for the kiddos. My first thought was ‘so cute’….my second though was ‘oh crap’! Blame it on being my first Halloween as a mom, but I hadn’t even thought about what we were going to dress Callie up as. I immediately started scrambling to find a costume for her. Thankfully, within an hour or so, I got it all taken care of…but it made me realize that I can’t be the only last-minute mom out there. So today I wanted to share with you my top pics for making your kid’s last-minute costume something that is still personal, fun, and adorable.
Let me be honest, I find DIY costumes to be the cutest. However, the hard truth is we just don’t have time these days. So what’s the next best option? I say it’s semi-homemade and/or handmade purchases. Grabbing a prefabricated item and tweaking it a bit can make your child’s costume one-of-a-kind without adding too much on your plate. Above, I gathered a few bits-and-bobs to piece together the perfect look for your littles.
As moms, I know we barely have time to drink a hot cup of Joe, so I hope these ideas will save you some time. If you have any questions just comment below or DM me, please share photos below if you use any of the fun products, and as always go follow me over on IG at @samanthaklanier.
PS-Here’s a sneak peak at a piece of Callie’s costume. Can you guess what’s she’ll be?
