Recently, some of my best girlfriends and I set out on a weekend getaway. Upon arriving, I was beyond excited to let all my ‘girliness’ come out…being as I am going on 5 months post marriage + moving in with a guy! To sweeten the pot, one of my best friends announced she was engaged, asked me to be her MOH, and that the wedding is scheduled for next March. I could not be happier for her!!!
The first thing on my list as MOH was to advise her of the ins-and-outs of wedding planning; however, this is a difficult task. You see, each couple is faced with different circumstances which impact the process of planning a wedding and each couple has a picture in mind of their special day. So instead of setting out to ‘plan her wedding’, I am here today to lend my advice on best/favorite wedding registry gifts to my sweet friend and to all of you!
1. Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer-Macy’s
One of my most cherished gifts-being from my bridal party. This beauty can be found in a variety of colors and with a variety of attachments. It can save your arm from a world of hurt and most of all it truly transforms your countertops into that which reminds you of ‘grandma’s kitchen’. Mine is in the color pistachio and I can’t get enough of it!
2. Bissell Steamer Mop-Target
How else would I get my wood floors clean?! I remember how Momma used to do it &…NO THANKS! This quick and easy tool will get your floors gently clean and save you half the time.
3. White Towels-Target
Wonderful white, how I love you so! Nothing better than warm, fresh towels…especially those without makeup stains and/or bleach spots. I know we love those fun pops of color in our decor; however, save it for your hand towels that are meant for less functional purposes. I promise you won’t be disappointed with this simple and timeless alternative!
4. Baskets-Bed Bath & Beyond
Oh the organization! I can’t explain how perfect these are for just about any untidy place in your house. I personally use mine in my linen closet to store wash cloths and hand towels (see photo above^), to keep my perfume collected atop my vanity, and to organize my bathroom product below my sink. Beside the fact that they keep everything nice and neat, they also add a touch of decor to give you something to be proud of.
5. Coffee Bar Shelf-Hobby Lobby
My favorite of all the favorites-& most used! I had my eye on this beaut’ for years before I registered. It’s also located at Hobby Lobby, which does not provide registry services. However, my sweet mom remembered and by God’s grace found it still available for retail! It’s perfect as a coffee bar shelf…to store miscellaneous items in the baskets, display decor upon the shelf, and hang adorable mugs across the hooks.
I hope y’all enjoy and don’t forget to let me know what your favorite registry items were (it’s never to late to add to my collection)!
